What to do next with your education record

How to use the DfE education record app

We have now issued education records to pupils in year 11 on the DfE education record app. Pupils can now use the app to review their information.

Each pupil’s education record will contain:

  • their name, address and date of birth
  • the schools they have attended
  • their qualifications (after results are released)
  • any support needs

Qualifications will be automatically added to the app after they are released by the awarding organisations. Pupils will receive a notification on their app to let them know that qualifications have been added to their education record.

The next stage of the process is for pupils to take the app with them to enrolment at a sixth form or college. They can then use the app to share their education record by scanning a QR code that the sixth form or college will show the pupil.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
